Dr. Alice Byram

Dr Alice Byram is a multilingual University of Cambridge graduate in Modern and Medieval Languages who then went on to study medicine at the University of Malaga in Spain and the Humboldt University in Berlin. A residency in Family Medicine in Barcelona with further work as a Specialty doctor in Emergency Medicine in the NHS means that she has over 20 years of varied primary and secondary care clinical experience.

She has several research publications based on work in Spain and Germany and therefore knows the real limitations and obligations of clinical trials. Always interested in innovation, she has been involved in setting up a new geriatric emergency medicine section to a tertiary trauma emergency department in the NHS, a smoking cessation program in primary care in Spain and optimizing the IT in two further NHS emergency departments. Her experience in clinically validating digital health includes being the CMO of a successful digital health start-up and validation of award winning EHR NLP technology.
